Whats the name of the tool used to suck the r134a refridgerant out of the a/c lines that attatches to a compressor? Its like a little box that connects to the air compressor line that uses Air Pressure to operate a little pump in the box to suck the air right out of the a/c line.
It is called a vacuum pump and is available through most auto supply stores from like jcwhitney. It is not used to suck the refrigerant out, but used to remove most of the air as well as to dry the inside of the system and minimize any contaminates. environmental requirements are that refrigerant be recovered so shops that do this have to have all the special equipment in addition to a vacuum pump. If you have to ask you should not do this as this is a pressurized system.
